I have considered this arrangement as well, for a utility feedback arrangement, however, as you may or may not be aware, the phase difference would prevent that from working, without leaving the neutral disconnected from hydro output to grid...your generator has 120 degrees of phase difference between phases, and the utility has 180 degrees difference (as all center tapped transformers have). Just wondered whether you had considered this.

I feed back to the utility through the transformer as single phase or 240V center tapped, sometimes referred to as split phase or 2 phase. So my 3 phase induction generator primarily uses two of its windings and the capacitors to generate 480V single phase. This is stepped down in the transformer to 240V split phase (120V each side to the grounded center-tap.
